YOUR STORIES FROM AROUND THE BORDERS - Pg 1

14/5/11 Maranatha Day
by Ros Dodd

At the Maranatha meeting on Saturday 14th May we spent an hour in the morning praying for the project.

There are Maranatha members in many different churches up and down the central Marches area and they have taken information about their local prayer rooms and have promised to pray for the prayer rooms and walkers as they come down Offa’s Dyke.

I saw the information about the walkers on the Wirral and we have a Maranatha meeting there next Saturday. God is really stirring up his people on the Wirral.

We also have members who are praying for reconciliation across the borders of Northern and Southern Ireland, and Scotland and England and they have been praying for this project since January. We here on the Welsh borders are part of a much bigger God plan!

St Andrews Community Church in Craven Arms also used its Sunday Evening service to pray for the project

14/5/11 Whitchurch Prayer Room
by Alison Snelling

Today saw the continuation of prayer across the Border. At midday the Baton was passed on to Whitchurch from representatives from Flint.

We have been partnered with Wrexham and have been delighted to pray for the churches in Wrexham and for the nation of Wales.

This afternoon after some children's activities our youth group climbed the tower of the Parish church with Welsh and English flags and prayed  over the phone for the youth in Wrexham who were also standing on their parish church tower.

Tonight were were joined in the prayer room by friends from Wrexham churches and we sent representatives from here to

Tonight were were joined in the prayer room by fParish Churchriends from Wrexham churches and we sent representatives from here to Wrexham so we could  pray and bless each other.

The prayer room will be occupied and continue until midday tomorrow when we will hand over the Baton to Llangollen who will continue to bathe the Welsh/ English Border in Prayer.

What a great privilege  it is to bring our requests before God.

16/5/11 Ross-on-Wye

by Sue Gasston

Last night we had our monthly Come Together & Pray which is a time for Christians in Ross to gather and pray. We usually have about 6 different congregations represented.  We praise God for all He is doing in bringing a real sense of unity amongst us.

As we were praying for the Border project last night and in particular for our venue which is the Courtyard room at the Royal Hotel there was revelation that we would be meeting in the Courtyard of The King.  Wow!

Encouraged us all.

14/5/11 Pen Y Fan Walk
by Alyson Griffiths

Four people took part in the Pen y Fan prayer walk on May 14th; One Welsh woman, One English woman, One English man and a Brazilian! We used Psalm 24 as the structure for the walk and stopped several times to pray for our communities, youth, for purity, for the church and of course for our nations. I had a sense of people needing to look upwards, to look beyond their circumstances and see the light. Also that a dark cloud needs to be lifted over Britain, we need the veil removed from our eyes.

Despite being few in number we have a real sense of acheivement on the way down and we pray that the words of Psalm 24 (which we left at the top) will spread throughout all the surrounding areas.

Wrexham so we could  pray and bless each other.

The prayer room will be occupied and continue until midday tomorrow when we will hand over the Baton to Llangollen who will continue to bathe the Welsh/ English Border in Prayer.

16/5/11 Profound & Moving

by James Muir

Just to let you know that we at Whitchurch had a profound and moving time on Sunday...thanks so much for the amazing support and work that Yvonne, Paul, Lindy and the guys at Wrexham put into this.

Three of us travelled over to Wrexham on Sunday evening and were absolutely saturated in glorious prophetic prayer...  WOW!! I am still on cloud nine.  There were prophecies about fire about unity and about healing – all SO close to our heart in Whitchurch.

I have a real sense that we have shifted a gear...   gone up onto a new spiritual level in WHitchurch as a result.  For me the most powerful time was praying and worshiping in St Johns Methodist church at 3am – 4.30am – God really turned up and met with the three of us who were there at the time, and I have heard many stories of folk meeting with God even when they were quietly by themselves in prayer....

Oh hallelujah.

Come in fresh fire on our nations, Lord!
